Vehicle Selection
In order to use Catalog, Service, Labor, Specs or VIN a vehicle must first be defined or selected. This can be accomplished three different ways. The first method is accomplished by selecting the year, make, model etc. selecting your choices from a list.
The next option is to select the vehicle from your Previous Vehicles list. As defined in the ”Setup” section above, this list will contain your previous look-ups in order beginning from most recently used.
The next available option for Vehicle selection is to use the Decode VIN function. Not to be confused with the menu item labeled “VIN” – we will cover that later. When using the VIN number to select the vehicle, you must enter the complete Manufacturer VIN number or the software will only post an error immediately to the right of the green button labeled Decode VIN that states “Invalid VIN Code.” When entered properly the software will take you directly to the first level of selection associated with your choice – Parts, Labor etc.
